Boasting dozens of original high-quality interactive stories spanning genres like fantasy RPG, romance, mystery and horror, Choices has captivated millions of players with its rich storytelling, complex characters, and branching gameplay.


Lead Designer (2015 - 2018)

  • Led design on the core gameplay, including narrative presentation, storefront, engagement loops, and monetization strategy

  • Designed the BerryScript writing system, a comprehensive scalable scripting language capable of complex gameplay while being easy enough for amateur writers to master

  • Designed critical update features, such as collectible systems, in-game cinematics, and customizable characters

  • Provided consistent stakeholder feedback on UI/UX, art, and economy balancing

  • Developed writing, training, and editorial pipelines to service the rapid release cadence of Choices’ live service operations

  • Worked closely with Data and Production to optimize the live product for retention, engagement and monetization

Writing Lead/Director of Writing (2018 - 2020)

  • Served as Narrative Designer on over 10 titles from start to finish: conceptualizing the original story, developing compelling characters, drafting original worlds, and writing complex branching dialogue

  • Recruited, mentored and managed the External Writing Team, a unit of 5 internal and over 25 contract writers; provided extensive editorial support and cultivated an uplifting collaborative team culture

  • Coordinated closely with Art to develop character visuals/cinematics and Design to integrate story with gameplay

  • Championed storytelling that emphasized diversity and uplifted marginalized voices; helped to establish Pixelberry’s Sensitivity Team, which helps ensure authentic representation

  • Designed and documented writing techniques and best practices, such as how to create a compelling text-based action scene or how to integrate collectibles

  • Served as a central member of the Writing Leadership Team, involved in mentorship, hiring, team-building and content strategy
