An instant hit that ran until 2022, High School Story established Pixelberry as the leading developer of mobile narrative.
Lead Designer
Conceptualized and drove the central vision of the builder sim, including all core gameplay mechanics, engagement/retention loops, UX, economy and monetization strategy
Designed the quest system, which expanded on the sim gameplay with an incentivized progression system tied to an ongoing narrative delivered in weekly installments
Designed the content scripting system and live ops pipeline that kept the game running and growing for almost a decade
Oversaw the content strategy, including developing the iconic characters, visual presentation, and ongoing storyline
Wrote and edited over a hundred quests
Worked with Data and Production to analyze the game’s performance and add features to improve continued performance like Daily Rewards, new monetization mechanics, and seasonal events
